I used to say that I wouldn’t want to live forever
I guess I was just lying to myself
I want to be around
To witness how things pan out
To see where humanity leads itself
Will the earth claim its just vengeance?
Will we engrave our mark on eternity?
Life discovered somewhere else
And in time
Answers will finally come
And with them
A new way of thinking will emerge
And with that
New questions will arise
A never ending cycle of wonder and thought
But can we escape ourselves?
Can we prevent our own demise?
I want to understand it all
Not as a god
Not as a supreme being
But as myself
Through a never boring, never clear, never ending
